So
let`s go down a notch more. What if you gotta choose between highlighting your
eyes and lips, what would it be ?
First option would be to go with a bright red / pink lippie but your eyes looking undefined,
unshapely and tired; this would give your face an unbalanced look. Even if
you leave your lips devoid of any bold lipcolor, it would work, but try leaving
your eyes bare. Holy Moly ! No ways ! You wouldn’t wana reveal how hard you have been
working…lol J
Or
you can opt for the so-in-vogue glamorous Winged Eyeliner, using the same liner
on your lower lashline as well for bigger looking eyes (I already have huge
roundy eyes so don’t really need that nemore J), even taking a little liner on your fingertips and
smudging a little color on your eyelids near the lashline to create a smoky
eyelook while your lips are kept neutral, natural and simply moisturized with a
lip balm, clear hydrating gloss or a light lipcolor.
Also, think how you would
be able to rock the second option in office, where bright bold lipcolors are
usually considered unappropriate and get undue negative attention, wouldn’t
just sprucing up your eyes with a winged eyeliner give enough of a glam touch
without anyone being able to complain about your makeup. Plus you can adjust
the length and thickness of the winged eyeliner as per your mood and need for
the day… Wow, how convenient is that !
So,
what would you have preferred? I would prefer the second option anyday.
Ofcourse the combination of a winged eyeliner and bright bold lips would be The Bomb! but if having had to choose,
second option is the way to go for me! I don’t even see myself in dreams
without me having on my signature winged eyeliner on my eyes…just kidding…lol !
The
easiest and quickest way how I do my winged eyeliner these days is by using the Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo Pen. Its quickly become my go-to absolute must-have
favourite product. It gives me a lot of control without creating any mess. I
have done a detailed review on it which you can read HERE. I like my eyeliner
thick, bold with an extended tapered wing. This changes my eye shape from round
to almond-shaped and even draws the attention to my eyes.
So now I`ll take you through some very simple
steps which I follow to create a dramatic bold winged eyeliner using this magic
pen from oriflame.
Step
1 :

Take
the Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo Pen and mark a dot near the outer end of your upper
lash line where you want your winged eyeliner to end. Make a mental note about
how high and much further lengthwise you want your outerwing to end and mark
the dot accordingly.
Step
2:

Draw
a line from this dot to the outer corner of your eyes.
Step

Hold
the Eyeliner Stylo Pen in a slant fashion. Start drawing the liner from the
inner corner of your eyes close to the upper lashline. As you drag the liner
outwards, keep raising it further and further from the upper lashline (you
don’t have to stick close to the lashline but leave a space between the
lashline and the liner. Stop the liner at the initially marked dot .
Step

Now
you`ll have an outline created near your upper lashline which you simply have
to fill up with the eyeliner stylo pen.
Step
5:
Your basic winged eyeliner shape has been created. You can now touch up any mistakes
or do any additions like extending the wing further out, thickening it or
thickening the liner further or giving a curvature to the borders of the wing.
Totally your choice. I personally love wearing false eyelashes and wearing
falsies with a winged liner… ma ma mia !!!

Here
are some pics with the finished look… I chose the winged eyeliner and bright
lipie combo for upping the oomph factor. But I really would haven’t minded
natural or neutral colored lips with this bold cat eye look !
