Moroccan Argan Oil has been used by the local Amazigh people of Morocco for its healing properties in reducing the look of scars and rheumatic problems since the age old times. Moroccan Argan oil today is one of the hottest beauty products on the market. With 30 kilograms of nuts required to produce one kilogram of oil, the price tag often becomes quite steep if buying pure and quality oils. Given its ability to survive the region’s hot climate with temperatures that climb to to over 50 ºC, the tree produces a fruit that is harvested each spring and cold-pressed to create the oil.
We all know that oiling the hair has several benefits… Oil prevents hair dryness. It makes your hair shine by sealing in the open cuticles, enhances the smoothness of the hair, multitasks to improve hair health for eg.  Some oils acts as a sunscreen and protects hair from thermal damage. An oil massage relaxes mind & body.

Here`s My Experience with the Oil…
As soon I received the bottle, I was thrilled to see the impressive ingredient list. All the ingredients sounded familiar and they all well known for their goodness to hair. When I pulled out the bottle from the outer cardboard box packaging, it was a pump bottle. That was such a wonderful idea coz at present there are hardly any hair oil brands that do a pump packaging which we all all is so very convenient. It saves us the hassle of tilting a jar or botlle to get the product out. With the St.Botanica packaging, the oil can be squirted out with the bottle staying upright. And whats more, the pump bottle can be used later to store any liquid product of your choice once the oil has been used up. I simply loved the idea ! The bottle is made of plastic so no fear of the bottle breaking if accidently falls. The pump on the bottle worked very well, seems of a good quality and infact I was able to control the amount of oil I wanted out based on how much I pushed it down. I wanted to immediately experience what the oil was like…So I took some of my hand and the first thing I noted was that the oil was yellow in color and it has somewhat of a stronger aroma to it. The fragrance of the oil is very much floral and maybe slightly woody. Its like a perfume which was not at all bad. Infact I liked it a lot just that it was a bit strong for my nose. I prefer nice smelling products whether the scent of strong or mild or even if there is no scent at all but I personally cannot tolerate ill smelling products so in the smell department also St. Botanica Hair Oil worked for me. You might even enjoy the scent ! Since we are discussing scent here, let me tell you that I also smelled a lot of “Methi”/ Fenugreek in the oil with which I have a lot of experience in the kitchen and I know the smell of methi very distinctively. I do love it and it gave the oil, in my opinion, its herbally smell.

The oil was pale yellow in color and  it was not a thick oil…infact its consistency was sort of like those non-greasy hair oils which gave the effect of not having applied any hair oil. This was the case when I used the oil in moderation on my hair sort of like a hair serum…it made my hair smell beautiful and really moisturized my hair shaft but on application on my scalp and I used it there liberally, it did make the scalp oily. The oil washed off easily with  one time shampooing coz it was so light weight to use in the first place. Now, coming to its hair growth property, I have been using the oil two to three times a week and leaving it overnight on my scalp for that added boost and I have certainly noticed that it made by hair grow faster. This could sound made up just for the sake of review but I assure you its not. I have been using it religiously and noticed that my darker roots grew out much more quicker (I have highlighted hair) than they usually do. Its only been a month and I am considering a root- touch up for my highlights! I also noticed that my bangs, which I had recently trimmed, grew out within a month, since I've been using this oil. So I definitely think that the St. Botanica Moroccan Argan Hair Growth Oil has been working well for my hair and I completely recommend it to you starlets. In fact it would be great for even men who are maybe looking to grow out their hair for a style change ! I think its completely worth a try and your hair might just thank you for it later on J
